Barry Glickman Named President of Dresser Waukesha

WAUKESHA, WISCONSIN (March 14, 2008) - Barry Glickman, a senior executive who has spent most of his career in the energy industry, has been named the 14th president of Dresser Waukesha, a business unit of Dresser, Inc. He is expected to join Waukesha on April 7.

Announcing Glickman's appointment, John Ryan, president and chief executive officer of Dresser, Inc., said, "We are delighted to have Barry join the Dresser team and to lead our Waukesha Engine business. His impressive background in the energy sector is a good match for Dresser's global energy focus; and his successful tenure as general manager of GE's Jenbacher natural gas business makes him ideally suited to continue to build on the foundation for growth that has been established at Waukesha."

Glickman succeeds Thomas J. Laird who left Waukesha in January to assume the presidency of parent company Dresser's newly created Flow Technologies business based in Houston.

Glickman comes to Waukesha from GE where he spent more than a decade in a series of increasingly responsible positions. Most recently he served as chief marketing officer for GE Security. From 2003 to 2006 he was general manager for the Jenbacher gas engine division of GE Energy, based in Jenbach, Austria. There he was responsible for more than doubling the business following its acquisition by GE in 2003. Previously, he held leadership positions within GE Energy Services and GE Aero Energy. He joined GE in 1997 in the Business Development group for GE Energy.

Prior to GE, Glickman was a manager at McKinsey & Co., an international consulting firm, where he advised utilities and companies in the energy and transportation sectors.

He has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Wharton (University of Pennsylvania).
