| MALMO, SWEDEN (Feb. 1, 2007)-Dresser Wayne Pignone, the European division of Dresser, Inc.'s Dresser Wayne retail fueling business, announced today that it has reached an agreement with MADIC LAFON Group to provide equipment sales and service to the French-based company's continental and overseas customers.
More than simply a distribution agreement, the new initiative envisions significant cooperation between the two companies to jointly develop, distribute and support complete fueling equipment solutions designed specifically for the French market. The new solutions will support standard fuels such as gasoline and diesel and such bio-fuels as ethanol, biodiesel, Adblue or LPG, and CNG.
"Our strategic agreement with MADIC LAFON significantly strengthens our position in France, and we are excited to offer customers a new, improved alternative," said Neil Thomas, Dresser Wayne global president. "Our two companies have already developed and introduced the Dresser Wayne Global Star™ fuel dispenser with integrated EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) pay-at-the-pump terminal from LAFON, and we expect more innovative product introductions in the future."
"LAFON has set a new French standard with its fast and user-friendly APL2N EMV pay-at-the-pump terminal," said Christian Blossier, MADIC LAFON president. "And the revolutionary Global Star™ fuel dispenser is a perfect complement with its distinctive design, its corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum and unmatched hose reach."
MADIC, a major service company in France, will provide aftermarket field support for the products through its established national service network made up of ten regional agencies.
"More than simply another generic alternative for French petroleum retailers, this alliance provides a distinct solution for our customers, whether they are major oil companies, hypermarkets or independents," noted Mr. Thomas.
Dresser Wayne Pignone, the recognized technology leader among fuel dispenser providers, said it also expects to introduce other innovative solutions in France, including the virtually drift-free Xflo™ Fuel Meter and the revolutionary iX™ Technology Platform, which helps fuel retailers significantly increase sales, build customer loyalty, and improve dispenser uptime.
Combining the technical expertise, extensive experience and wide product portfolio of a truly global company like Dresser Wayne with the innovative EMV pay-at-the-pump solutions
from LAFON and key service capabilities from MADIC provides end customers in France with exceptional, customer-focused products and ongoing support, the two companies say.
