About Mooney and RedQ Regulators

Mooney Controls was founded in 1984 by Dick Mooney, a mechanical engineer with over 25 years experience in industrial controls and the natural gas industry. The Flowgrid® Regulator he developed is a patented, pilot-operated pressure regulating valve for both gases and liquids, and is now known for its unparalleled high performance, ease of maintenance, low minimum differential, reliability and versatility.

In 1990 Mooney Controls patented the Series 20 Pilot Regulator for accurate pressure control of the Flowgrid and other pilot-operated regulators. In 1998 Mooney Controls was acquired by Dresser, Inc. In 2000 Dresser Mooney Regulators introduced another innovation; the FlowMax® Regulator. The FlowMax is a pilot-operated regulator that offers bubble tight shut-off at all pressure drops and full capacity even at very low-pressure differentials.

REDQ Regulators are specialty regulators that are utilized in a wide range of markets and applications. Markets include industrial, aerospace, government, natural gas, and others. Applications are from making plastic bottles to applications at NASA facilities.
