Austin, Texas (October 15, 2010) – Dresser Wayne, a global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies, is supporting new selective catalytic reduction (SCR) enabled diesel vehicles and diesel retailers with the introduction of the new Vista and Select Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) fleet dispensers. The DEF dispensers, launched at the NACS Show 2010 in Atlanta, GA, help these new diesel powered vehicles comply with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2010 Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions standards by providing an efficient method of supplying DEF at the fuel island.
“We’ve leveraged the interface and style of our popular Vista and Select fuel dispensers to create these forecourt-friendly DEF solutions,” Tom Glahn, Director, Fleet fueling sales, Dresser Wayne says. “The Vista and Select DEF fleet dispensers offer easy operability and seamless site integration in addition to high-grade internal components that meet DEF’s special requirements.”
Product purity is an important criterion for DEF delivery. If it becomes contaminated it can harm vehicle exhaust system components which could reduce their lifespan and result in costly repairs. DEF is also susceptible to the cold as its freezing temperature is 12° Fahrenheit. The specialized construction of the Vista and Select DEF dispensers include third-party certified DEF-compatible hydraulics to prevent contamination, and the heated cabinet protects hoses and nozzles to ensure DEF remains at stable temperatures.
The launch of the Vista and Select DEF-compatible dispensers is part of Dresser Wayne’s continued commitment to developing the infrastructure necessary to support station owners with the latest in fueling technology.
